Update - I had to turn off Enable Auto Update in Google Play to finally get it to stop. Devs' instructions don't apply to my phone. I hate this app so much lol. I don't know WHY you are contracted to be a pre-installed app on most Android devices but I wish you weren't. It's an invasive application that forces its way past disabling or uninstalling updates. I don't get it, but I went in and had to delete the account off of my phone FIRST then uninstall updates and force stop the app. Do better.

Hello. We're truly sorry you feel this way. Glance shouldn't come back after being disabled. Please try: Settings → Home & Lock Screen → Lock Screen → Smart Lock Screen → Disable Glance. If it returns, please write to support@glance.com with your device model and Android version, and we'll investigate.

i turned it off the day i set up my phone years ago, but it updated a couple days ago and started sending me daily notifications. i double-checked and it's still disabled. i had to also turn off all notifications permissions, which means it's still running in the background even though it's entirely disabled, using resources. That's beyond rude and is entirely on the developer. It's bloatware and spyware. Collected data includes pics, apps, usage, personal info, email.

Hi, we’re sorry for the trouble. Glance is a pre-installed feature delivering news, games & more to your lock screen. It can be disabled but not uninstalled. To disable: swipe on your lockscreen, tap the gear icon, go to Settings, then turn off “Enable Smart Lockscreen.”

did not want this installed, it just showed up, and I can't shut it down without somehow losing access to my camera. if my lock screen somehow pops up you can easily accidentally tap glance and open up a bunch of news stories you don't care about, because it doesn't even seem to be based on an algorithm, so it has no idea what stories I'd be interested in. AND on top of everything else. the news story I don't care about and didn't ask to see is half covered up by an ad!
