Hi, I'm Patrik. I made Material Digital Duo because I wanted a watch face
where the time is the star: big, chunky, impossible to misread, and still a
little bit playful.
So it's simple. The hours live in a rounded square on the left, the minutes in
a circle on the right, and between them there's a tiny two-dot colon that
blinks once a second, as if it's keeping time with you. The digits are the
heaviest weight I could find, so you can read them at a glance.
• TOP — a wide pill for a longer complication: day and date, your next event,
a short label. It shows the title and the text together, so "day and date"
gets both parts (because who only wants one of them?).
• BOTTOM — two small pills, one value each: steps, battery, heart rate,
temperature, a timer. Each has a tiny icon in the colour of your theme.
When the screen goes always-on, everything drops to thin, bright line art in
your theme colours: just the two outlines, the colon and the time, nothing
else. It's easy to read even in sunlight and still kind to your battery. I like
that the colours of hours and minutes swap there, it gives the always-on view
a look of its own.
Speaking of colour: there are 21 themes. Twelve are the new two-colour ones I
had a lot of fun with — one colour for the shapes, a different accent for the
numbers and icons, so nothing gets lost: Reef (my favourite, and the default),
Graphite, Slate, Lagoon, Amethyst, Twilight, Harvest, Meadow, Rose Gold,
Forest, Poppy and Admiral. The other nine are the classic one-colour themes
from my other watch faces: Grey, Mint, Lavender, Sky, Peach, Butter, Rose,
Coral and Sage. The same palette also colours the outlines, icons and values of
the complications, so the whole face stays in one family. Pick yours in the
watch face editor.
It needs Wear OS 5 or newer.
No accounts, no ads, no data flying anywhere. It just sits on your wrist and, I
hope, makes checking the time a tiny bit nicer.
