The Schopenhauer Effect

Nine actors, one room that doesn't let anyone off easy. When a newcomer walks in to observe, the room turns on him instead. The Schopenhauer Effect unfolds like something you're not supposed to be watching. A pregnancy nobody saw coming. A confession that detonates. Rivalries that turn into connections. Because secrets that stay buried everywhere else are exposed here, unfiltered. A New York Times Critics’ Pick, this film by Alexis Lloyd captures raw honesty, compassion and authenticity in a way that is rarely seen in cinema and shows us what it means to be human.
