Iomlaid: Book Exchange

Finished books often stay on shelves because two readers rarely want exactly what the other person has. Iomlaid solves that coordination problem with complete, directed book relays.

Add books you are ready to pass forward and describe what you hope to read next. Instead of exposing a public seller feed or asking you to negotiate a direct swap, Iomlaid's clearing service searches for compatible multi-member routes and donor-started chains. A relay appears only after every sending and receiving leg has been assigned.

Record a physical copy with its title, author, edition, language, condition, and subjects. Add exact-title, author, subject, or syllabus reading needs. Receive an assigned route only when the complete exchange is feasible. See your exact sending and receiving responsibilities without browsing other members' shelves. Keep unfinished matching work in the next clearing batch.

Every dispatch and receipt becomes part of an append-only custody record signed with a key held in Android Keystore. For a face-to-face handoff, both devices can exchange signed proof by QR or NFC even when neither has a connection. When service returns, the records converge; conflicting branches are preserved and raised for review.

A recipient can reveal a postal address only to the assigned sender for an open leg. Iomlaid removes that address when the parcel is dispatched, received, or marked as a problem. The app distinguishes member responsibility from postal transit so delays and losses are recorded accurately.

Your shelf, reading needs, assigned relay, and custody journal remain available from the local record. Changes queue safely and synchronize when connectivity returns. Assignment and deadline notifications help keep a relay moving.

Iomlaid is for adults. Reports and blocking are available from assigned books, members, and custody records. Child sexual abuse, grooming, unsafe contact, harassment, fraud, and attempts to move contact outside an assigned postal leg are prohibited.
